My preferred place to be in on the coast or the shores of the lochs and lakes.  The sound of the ocean soothes my mind, even when the waves are rough and the surf is loud, its deafening roar has a calming effect. Add a few mountains into the scene and I am totally at peace. I can always find something interesting to photograph in the shallows and the longer I spend in one particular spot, the more opportunities I see.  It is fascinating to observe the generous palette of colours and textures displayed both above and below the surface throughout the day. They constantly change with the light, or with the weather and the tide. Early morning is my time to explore the shores.
