SCOTLAND

Lochgoilhead and The Boat Shed Café

One of the most beautiful spots on the Cowal Peninsula is the little village of Lochgoilhead at the Northern end of Loch Goil. Under the shadow of the spectacular Arrochar Alps the village feels cosy and protected.  There are plenty of walking and hiking opportunities in the area for all levels.

August in Edinburgh.

August is the month of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest performing arts festival and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo both of which should be  a “must see and do” on everybody’s Scottish wish list.  These events are on for a whole three weeks every year in August so start planning for next year!

Spring

Spring is a fabulous time of the year. The trees and bushes are just bursting with new life and colour. Here in Scotland it takes a little longer for the buds to bloom, but the brush strokes of nature paint the landscape a little brighter each day.  The birds are busy nesting and it feels as if positive change is in the air.
